Jenna Christensen
Jenna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics with a minor in Business Administration from NC State University. She has industry experience as a Product Analyst at Vivint, where she has worked on modeling complex datasets, developing real-time data visualizations, and conducting big data analysis. Jenna is interested in opportunities that bridge machine learning, data science, and business strategy to drive impactful, data-driven solutions.

Nathan Ress
Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Genetics and a computer programming certificate, both from NC State University. He has prior experience as a statistical data associate at Charles River Labs, including work on custom algorithm development, data querying and data analysis. Nathan aims to work in a field where he is developing complex and customized AI or ML algorithms and is open  to variety of application domains. 

Lily Smith
Lily earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a Statistics minor from NC State University, building a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics along with hands-on experience in analytics, machine learning and generative AI. Lily works as a data science intern on automated security within LLM-powered chatbots at Willowtree. She is passionate about developing AI-driven solutions to enhance product development and business processes.

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from California Lutheran University.  Her background in data science includes comprehensive coursework in mathematics, statistics, economics, and computer science. Taylor is passionate about pursuing opportunities that enable her to leverage data to solve problems in fields ranging from sports and music to healthcare.

Jamin Goo
Jamin earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University. He is on leave from a full-time role as an Assistant Director at the Korea Exchange (KRX). At KRX, Jamin oversees technological infrastructure and data management for derivates post-trade processing.

Shrawani Gulhane
Shrawani holds a bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from VIIT in India. She has prior experience with language-based models and is passionate about  integrating data science and machine learning for a variety of applications. 

Grace Haley
Grace holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from NC State University. She works full-time as a portfolio engineer at ACT Power Services, where she oversees large data streams from solar energy sites. Grace is passionate about opportunities integrating her knowledge of mathematics and computer science with data analysis, cloud service platforms, cryptography or cybersecurity.

Evie earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Barton College, while also being a Division I student athlete. She has a solid foundation in analytical thinking, probability theory, statistical analysis and mathematical modeling. Evie is passionate about exploring a variety of applications and opportunities in data science including business intelligence, sports analytics and finance.

Shraawani holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from SPPU in India. She has prior internship experience with building machine learning models object detection and driver monitoring. Shraawani is interested in opportunities integrating data analysis with foundational methodologies in data science for a variety of application areas.

Monica earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UNC-Greensboro. She currently works as a quality control specialist at Henkel Corp. Monica is passionate about opportunities in the healthcare sector, seeking to apply her knowledge and experience with data science and chemistry to make medicines more effective.

Elizabeth Thompson
Elizabeth Thompson holds a master’s degree in Foundations of Data Science from NC State University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Vocal Performance from UNC Chapel Hill. She is currently a Machine Learning Data Scientist at Bungie, where she builds ML algorithms for anti-cheat and security. Previously, she worked as a data science intern at Yum! Brands, where she made sales forecasting models for some of the world’s leading brands, such as Kentucky Fried Chicken and explored generative AI applications. Elizabeth previously worked as a journalist and journalism researcher at UNC Chapel Hill, the Dallas Morning News and other publications.

Scott Van Slyck
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from NC State University, gaining a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data science. He also held multiple internships as a loan analytics specialist at the State Employees Credit Union, leveraging data to evaluate loan performance, uncover trends and support strategic decision-making. Scott is passionate about applying data-driven decision-making and statistical modeling to drive strategic insights and solve complex business challenges in the corporate or energy sectors.
